I have recently decided that I have very little respect for anyone.
I'm not sure if it's because of past actions or how I see people presenting themselves in the present, but I find it very hard to force my self to pretend that I enjoy the company of certain people, when in reality, they rather disgust me. Once again, I repeat, I'm not sure if I'm just starting to notice now or if I choice to ignore before for the sake of looking past differences and trying to be a better person.

Most of the people I know, seem to be very two-faced and have no backbone, which I find very hard to pretend is a good thing. I for one, believe in standing up for ones self and taking control when the situation calls for it. Of course, not very many people can do such a thing but I would like to believe if the situation was severe enough, someone would take the neessary action to make sure what one can call 'justice' is being done.

Unfortunately, I have been proven wrong and this does not seem like something many people can do or even want to attempt to accomplish. I try to be a forgiving person and understand nonetheless, but I angers me and enrages me that people would rather choose the easy way out than to go down fighting.

I realize this is simply human instinct for the 'fight or flight' but it's almost worthy fo tears when people can't do the right thing for the sake of a greater good and whole. Maybe this is simply me just beginning to understand that people will never change and that we are still animals, even if we are more intelligent. But even animals will protect their young and family when needed and humans rarely are able to act this out.

Depressing, I suppose, for a first entry but this has been on my mind and I would rather get it out there than just hanging on to it.
